Fig 1, Example of an edited photo using Photoshop

Before Photoshop:
Manipulation of photos with negative, is a combination of multiple photographs to one final photograph.

example: A photo of the Goebbels family portrait with a uniformed Harald (The one in uniform). Who was away on military duties inserted in and retouched.

After Photoshop was invented:
Digital imaging has become a thing, it can convert text, artwork, and photographs into digital images using a digital scanner or another imaging device and edit them.

TUTORIAL

PRACTICAL (Pinterest Board: https://pin.it/7hNm5pNWe)

Inspiration photos.

1)

The first image is to my liking as I have always liked art with characters with semi-realistic shading and a neutral-like feel to it. However, I have seen AI replicate this style a lot and unfortunately, I have a hard time distinguishing AI "art" from real art. (So I hope the image above is drawn by a real artist.)

2)

On the contrary to the first image, I also like vibrant colours with cel shading and a more "chibi-like" proportion.

3)

Lastly, I also like Monet-like styles of paintings, usually of backgrounds and sceneries. With soft colours and shading, bonus points if the watercolour strokes could be seen.

REFLECTION
This was a good start to the class, I learned about Adobe Photoshop and making a Pinterest Board. I also learned about proportions to follow when trying to start a physical collage using magazine, picture books and more.
