TUTORIAL

PRACTICAL

Hearst Mansion Exercise:
Our tutor tasked us with an exercise following the video he provided us in Google Classroom.

Fig 3, Hearst Mansion                                                                                                                     Fig 4, Shazam Poster

Using the 2 pictures above we have to make it appear that Shazam is standing in the Hearst Mansion.

Fig 5, Processes

I first used the Quick Selection Tool to pick out Shazam from the background, placed him in the Hearst Mansion, then change the hue, saturation, brightness and added the shadow. I had him in 2 different placements.

Shazam Edit:

Then it was time to used the things I learned and put myself in the Hearst Mansion.

First I took a picture of myself.
Fig 8, Myself

A little silly but I liked it. Then, I started by removing a background with the selection tool.

I then followed the same steps I did for Shazam, for example, colour correction and adding shadows.
With all of that out of the way, I finish editing.

REFLECTION
I had a lot of fun with this task, and learned how to use Photoshop further. It was fun editing me in the photo and I feel more comfortable working with Photoshop.

REFLECTION

I had a lot of fun with this task, and learned how to use Photoshop further. It was fun editing me in the photo and I feel more comfortable working with Photoshop. I learned how to use the Quick Selection Tool to remove the background, Colour Match setting to match the pasted image to the background and the Brush Tool to add the shadows in.
