PROJECT 1

Instructable Infographic Poster

For this project, we were suppose to get a pasta recipe from the YouTube channel Pasta Grannies,

and make an infographic about a chosen recipe. I chose a recipe about Fettuccine. I chose it because it looked really appetising.

After watching the video, I started making a sketch to see what the infographic might look like.

I then consulted my tutor and revised the sketch based on his feedback.

Afterwards, I wanted to make the graphics in IblisPaint X, however, after discussing with my groupmate for the final project, we decided to go with my recipe. So, I switched to illustrating everything in Illustrator.

I mainly use the Pen and Brush Tool to make my graphics, with a lot of help from Pathfinder. I used this method for all of the graphics.

With the graphics done, it was time for assembly. I decided to make the background a blackboard as the colour green suits the colour palette of the graphics. I also made a chalk graphic at the corner of the infographic just to tie it together.

FEEDBACK

My tutor said that for the first sketch, the steps are not clear enough, and to properly section them. He also suggested to not reuse the same graphic so close together. Finally, make sure to label the steps properly.

REFLECTION

This project was alright in dificulty, the shorter recipe I chose for this eased up the difficulty. However, me choosing to make all the graphics in Illustrator brought up many challenges, as I prefer drawing on IblisPaint X. But I am still thankful it turn out alright.
